My Family Of Ten!
Imagine being stuck in a place with no peace. My family is full of energy all the time and constantly coming up with new ways to make noise, beside all the craziness deep down inside they are super loving and dependable.
There are 10 special members in my family, including me and 1 on the way you might be wondering what my house is like, envision a zoo compare it to my house and they are identical.
My older brother moved out and bought a house in Patumahoe which leaves extra room for more children.
Last year my mum said she was going to have one more baby to make it 8 so its even but God had other plans and we soon discovered that the 8th baby had a friend we were all filled with joy even though my mum said she would have to have another child to make it 10, 9 months later we had two special editions to our family who are turning one in a months time.
Putting past all the bizarre features my family has they are still there for each other and super loving and caring, having an enormous family has some positive sides to it. You would think there would be a lot of things to do in my house but there’s so many people that everything is done.

The Treasure Box
The Germans have bombed the library all of the scorched paper drifts across the ash covered sky the blackened edges spreads to the centre. Only one book continued to live a book brimming with history. Peter’s father loved this more than any other. It was red leather darkened around the edges but very thick. It had torn sides and was seamless. As the villagers were fleeing the small town Peter’s father swaddled the book in a firm cotton cloth and placed it in an iron box. This will protect our villagers past, this book speaks for the past and the elderly. It is very important to all of us “do you know who wrote this book” Peter’s father said “it was your grandmother your mother's, mother” she wrote it when she sat beside your mother when she was sick in bed before your mother died. She said to keep our treasure safe and know we have to take it with us for your mother.
Peter and his father joined the other villagers as they fled the small town. On their journey, the days turned into weeks soon into months and Peter's father became ill. Peter lay next to him and his father gave him the box and told him to look after the treasure for your mother. A single tear drizzled down Peter's face. The following day the villagers help bury his father.
Peter decided he was going to leave his suitcase behind and only take the treasure with him, as he thought there was a long journey ahead. Despite Peter losing the two people he loved so highly he still reflected on the remaining words his father left him which made him strive harder to keep the treasure safe. Peter soon realised he could never hold such a heavy box over the mountains he noticed a tree that was familiar to him it was about 90 feet tall and appeared to be very wide. On the tips of the tree were little flakes of snow. Peter knelt down and started to chip parts of the root away with the corner of the iron box Peter tore a page out of the book folded it and placed it in his pocket so he would never forget about the box.
Years went on for Peter. He journeyed back and reached the cottage where he and the other civilians grew up for the rest of their childhood years.
Peter relocated to the city and has grown a beautiful family. He still wonders about the book he left. Peter doesn't want to revisit the past so he has never gone back to the 90 foot tree.

How Private Is Your Personal Information?
Over the few weeks in cyber smart we ave been learning about how to keep our private information private by keeping all your information to yourself, by doing this you need to be keeping your online footprint clean via being in the right place at the right time.
Anchor's Away!
On a sunny Wednesday morning my class and I went on a adventurer to Okahu Bay to Sail! we experienced a lot of different things being: making our Optimist (boat), learning how to sit, work and clamber onto the boat. One thing every one did struggle with was getting change into there swimsuits they were very compacted and took a while for some swimsuits to stretch. At the end of our lesson we were allowed to capsize our boats (tip/sink), which was really fun because it was quite tiring trying to go back into the boat so we just ended up swimming in the water. A special thanks to our sponsors The lion Foundation, Rotary, Volvo and Zhik for sponsoring the day.

SAINT PATRICK'S DAY!!
On the 18 march, Saint Patrick's day My classmates and I
Made play-dough in the classroom.
We mixed all the dry ingredients together and then the wet ingredients including the boiling hot water.
We then added the food coloring and mixed it with a knife to cut through the hot play-dough. We all got our hands dirty when we kneaded the dough together.
We made an obstacle course with the play-dough and were given straws and polystyrene balls to blow around the course. We had races with the balls.
I loved making play-dough with my friends because it makes me feel like I was five years old again. It was really fun when we were mixing the play-dough into actually dough. I had fun making play-dough.

ALL ABOUT ME (BLOG PROFILE)
Hi my name Is hope I am a year 8 student at saint patricks school. In my spare time I like to do laps in the pool. I enjoy teaching others to swim. I am a fruit salad of cultures such as samoan and fijian.
Me as a learner I really enjoy reading because it calms me down. I personally think that i'm good at reading questions. And I find that describing books are really hard to do. For example if you ask me describe what your reading about it would be difficult for me to tell you.
I am looking forward for the opportunities this year brings to me. I really want to improve my maths and times table this year. I hope this year is a great last year of Saint patrick's school. You should read my blog because you will always get updated on my school week on what I learn what I achieve which should give you ideas on your own work.

Taniwha
I think that it does exists because i have
heard of similar stories about other things
and looking through past times it has been
happening so i think they it really depends
on what you believe and the stories you
decide are true or false i think that if
people from cultures believe this is real
then you should respect there wishes to leave it alone

2.) How do structure your clothing?
3.) Where did you get your idea from?
4.) What was first thing you designed?
5.) Why do you choose to do these pieces of work?

Acid rain
as i walk out of my house into what i think is
called my front yard. I dont even know what it
is now because its so different the trees are gone
there bare nothing but long shredded pieces of sticks.
i see everyone looking at me through there house
windows so they no its save the whole neighbor
hoods doors opened. everyone gasps in shock
of the state there city is.they start getting things
out of there house so they can help tidy up the place.
when the mayor announcers everyone to help out in
this horrific disaster everyone even the mayor comes
to help clean this mess up. soon enough everything
is complete and is back to normally the green thumbs
planted new trees and built new shops.
when everyone was gathered together
and said a new saying everything gets
done quicker with more hands.

warm food but sometimes when it is rainy
its like a wet miserable storm so the power
gets cut out for a few hours then i like to
get out things from our crafts cupboard
and make some interesting pieces of
art which takes me a longtime because
i cant make up my mind on what to make.

Mold maths!!
Let’s imagine that we tested the air
in your classroom and found 7
different kinds of mold. Eek!
The cleaner says that it takes
5 days for each mold to be
eradicated (removed). If the
school had to remove each
mold one at a time, how long
would it take to remove all the mold from the classroom?
It would take 35 days because 5x7=35

My Superpower
if i was to have a superpower it would
probably be to fly because i would not
need to go on planes or travel the sea
because i can just fly over it and
when i find something high in the
cupboard i could just reach high and fly high in the air to get it

Bumblebee
The word ‘bumblebee’ is a compound
word (bumble + bee). The word ‘bumble’
means to Move weirdly
Bumblebees can fly very quickly.
They can reach ground speeds
of 54 kilometers per hour (km/h).
Bumblebees are very strong!
They carry up to 90 percent
of their body weight in food
with them to avoid starvation.
Bumblebees can do more work
and carry more pollen than other
bees, including honeybees.
In fact, they can do up to
50 times as much work as a normal honeybee.
The number of bumblebees is
declining in New Zealand due
to a number of factors, including the honeybee.
